Kwan Segal iCEP Headshot | ICAway Founder & CEO

Kwan Segal, SPHR

Kwan Segal is a cross-cultural advisor and human capital consultant specializing in international student success, workforce transition, and culturally responsive advising in U.S. higher education.

She is the founder and CEO of ICAway and the creator of the iCEP: Cross-Cultural Advisor Academy, a cross-campus advisor training and institutional alignment framework designed to strengthen international student success across U.S. higher education.

Drawing from her background in human capital consulting and her own international lived experience, Kwan helps institutions strengthen cross-cultural advising, career readiness, and coordinated student support during high-stakes career and workforce transitions.

Her work focuses on helping advisors:

  • better understand international student behavior and decision-making,
  • navigate challenges related to networking, job search, and CPT/OPT timelines,
  • and apply culturally responsive strategies within their existing roles.

Kwan is known for translating complex cultural and career-related challenges into practical, actionable frameworks that improve advising confidence and student experience across campus touchpoints.

Today, ICAway’s programs and resources are used by universities, advisors, and international student support professionals across the United States.
